This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the HelmCase platform operated by HelmCase. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. Permitted Uses
The Service may only be used for:
- Lawful immigration case management by licensed immigration attorneys and authorized staff
- Storing and processing immigration-related documents and client data
- Professional communications between law office staff and their clients
- Generating reports and exports for legitimate business purposes
2. Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Practice immigration law without proper licensure in the applicable jurisdiction
- Upload, store, or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or third-party systems
- Engage in data scraping, reverse engineering, or decompilation of the platform
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without written authorization
- Store personal data beyond what is necessary for the stated immigration purpose
- Transmit spam, phishing content, or unsolicited commercial communications
- Impersonate any person, organization, or entity
- Use the Service in a manner that could damage, overload, or impair our infrastructure
- Process sensitive data categories (e.g., health data, criminal records) without explicit consent and a legal basis under LGPD/GDPR
3. Content Standards
All content uploaded to or transmitted through the Service must:
- Be accurate and not misleading
- Not violate any third party’s intellectual property rights
- Comply with applicable bar association ethics rules and professional conduct standards
- Not constitute unauthorized practice of law (UPL)
4. Immigration Law Compliance
Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the platform complies with USCIS regulations, state bar requirements, and all applicable immigration laws. HelmCase is a case management tool and does not constitute legal advice.
5. Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining strong, unique passwords for all accounts
- Promptly revoking access for departed staff members
- Reporting any suspected security incident to support@helmcase.com
- Ensuring your devices used to access the Service are free from malware
6. Enforcement
Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund. We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement authorities.
